Article Snippet: Up to now, a common strategy to synthesize nanocrystals in a hydro(solvo)thermal process is the liquid–solid–solution (LSS) phase transfer and separation approach proposed by Wang et al. As shown in Figure a, a solution of three phases is formed in the system: solid phase (sodium linoleate), liquid phase (ethanol and linoleic acid) and solution phase (water/ethanol solution containing metal ions).
